Designers Michael Koh and Achillea Teng of Caratell are serious about their gemstones, personally visiting mining areas to source for their own unique gems. The brand creates both bespoke and one-of-a-kind ready-to-wear pieces, and is particularly adept in creating designs using coloured gems. The latest collection, titled Above The Clouds, draws inspiration from intricate ancient Japanese ink paintings. Most amazingly, the pieces have articulated joints that allow the clouds to move, as if caught in a breeze. All of Caratell’s pieces are designed and crafted in-house in its Singapore atelier.
